blue jeans DIED AT AGE OF 83!
She was the Matriarch of Calamba Association
of Greater New York !

Februay 23, 2001, Jersey City, NJ.  Mrs. Rosario "Charing" Remigio, the lady that was known to be the Philippine Baroness and tycoon of ready made blue jeans that was popular in the Philippines (SILANGAN), long before Levi Strauss was, died this morning at ten minutes before six in the morning at Christ Hospital at Palisades Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey. 

She was considered the Matriarch of Calambeņos in greater New York being the most senior member.  She died of heart failure after almost three weeks in a coma, after a heart arrest she suffered on February 10. She was eighty three.  She is  survived by her children, Rolando, Dr. Jose, Edna, Nilda, Amado, Remedios, Rhodora,  and Rebecca.  She has 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
